We first introduced the MobiNEX score with STL Partners back in April. The score is a combination of mobile app network performance metrics and carrier download speeds. Our first report, covering 27 mobile networks in 7 countries, found a clear correlation between the MobiNEX score and customer experience ratings of telcos.

Apteligent and STL Partners have worked together to create the second report in our series, this time covering 80 mobile networks in 25 countries worldwide.

The report benchmarks mobile operators’ network speed and reliability, allowing individual operators to see how they are performing in relation to the competition in an objective and quantitative manner.

Key findings include
  • The top ten performing networks hail from Japan, France, the UK and Canada
  • The worst performing networks hail from Malaysia, Philippines, and Egypt
  • There were surprises in the report — the analysis shows that economic prosperity is no guarantee to success.
